This piece was created from osage orange wood, a tree common to the midwestern United States. The flowers were turned in a series in order to match the grain and the base is a sphere turned from the same wood. The flowers are mounted on 3mm aluminum wire. Each flower features a center made from baked polymer clay and handcrafted for each specific flower. The finish is satin lacquer.
